Cornerstone’s Call Center solution supports the unique needs of benefits enrollment. It becomes an extension of a company’s benefit services to provide efficient and helpful enrollment services to employees. Cornerstone benefit counselors can handle all employee enrollment transactions over the phone.
As with all Cornerstone enrollments, the Call Center uses only salaried, career benefit counselors. Cornerstone trains enrollees to be coaches, advisors and informed friends when presenting plan options and benefits to employees. In addition, each enrollee is trained to be proficient in the specific benefit plan options available to the employees.
Enrollments can use employee PIN codes or Cornerstone can provide “voice stamping” audio recording.
Cornerstone treats every Call Center case as a standard work site enrollment, with a case manager, enrollee training, and ongoing supervision. A Cornerstone Enrollment Services principal will also be on site to oversee the operation.
“Screen sharing” is available to enhance the enrollment experience & increase participation. When enrollees have Internet access, Cornerstone’s Citrix®-based screen-sharing technology allows the enrollee to view the counselor’s PC screen remotely over the Internet and share the mouse and keyboard, just as if the enrollee were sitting right beside the counselor. The enrollee watches and participates as the counselor walks him or her through the enrollment, dramatically enhancing the enrollee’s enrollment experience and increasing participation.

As more companies move their benefits enrollment online, Cornerstone’s Call Center can assist in the transition to online enrollment and reduce HR’s work during an annual self-service online enrollment.
Cornerstone’s Call Center also can support ongoing self-service online enrollment by eliminating the need for paper confirmations of online elections and deductions. Since counselors get “voice stamp” recordings of employee confirmations immediately at the end of each enrollment, HR has an electronic record of each employee’s confirmation without the hassle and effort required to collect paper confirmations with wet signatures from every employee. At the end of the enrollment, Cornerstone delivers to HR a file with all confirmations labeled with employee first and last name, unique ID, and time stamp for easy searching.
